Welcome Back, Winter

On Wednesday, February 3rd I managed to get in an entire day of skiing with the students at Bradford Elementary. A section of their playground was north-facing enough that it held onto snow. But with 50F temps and rain on the way, even that wouldn't last. 

I figured we'd be without skiing for awhile.

Then Friday, February 5th came and dumped 10''! Who knew? The storm caught us off guard, stalling over us much longer than the meteorologists anticipated. (Love those kinds of mistakes.)

So what better way to celebrate than cramming 6 1/2 hours of skiing into one weekend?

We ventured up to one of our favorite spots: Partridge Pond in Amherst.

Time to head back down. It was getting dark.

I'm heading north this weekend to more winter and some very chilly temperatures.
